Tripdoo is a site that offers package trips and offers for all types of accommodation, flights, and others. The site also offers city guides and articles to keep up with the most important travel news, travel reports and useful tips and tricks for your next vacation. The project started with the redesign of the corporate identity of the site and the ways the brand’s visual system presents itself. With the construction of a design system, the creative direction for the interface was defined – colors, styles, typography, iconography, components, buttons and general feel.
Afterwards, we established the structure of the Site with the use of wireframes and flowcharts, defining the user flow through this site and the overall location of information, items, and features.
Through interactive prototypes, these site-specific features were tested and through it, we ensure that the site behaves as the user would expect. It is important for me to remark, that I did not participate in the production of the site, which resulted in multiple differences from what was designed and what was implemented.
Cards organize information into chunks of content, they serve as an entry to detailed information. Simplicity is key in their design as one card contains multiple elements within one unit, each card should focus on a single unit of content and present the key relevant information of it.
Cards are almost infinitely flexible. Their grids can restructure themselves to fit any breakpoint or screen size, on mobile devices cards can be stacked vertically, while for larger screens they can fall into various grids. Because of this they are a great choice for responsive design and empowers a single aesthetic across multiple devices, establishing a consistent experience regardless of the device.

Tripdoo’s city guides are split into multiple sections that are relevant for the user. The units are: Accommodations, Getting There, Getting Around, Attractions, Restaurants, Outdoor, Nightlife, Museums, Shopping, and Events.
Each unit contains an interactive map with a set of cards that rank and list the most important places per unit. The cards differ depending on the requirements of the unit, presenting the information that is most relevant to the topic.

Tripdoo’s main goal is to help users find an ideal travelling package at a reasonable price. The brand was in need of a new logo that would represent the brand values, the new logo connects the brand with the travelling service through the use of two pins in combination to a modern, reliable but yet friendly typography.
The brand personality presents itself across all channels and within the interface.
